WINSS Successful School Guide Best Practices
High academic standards

High academic standards are targets for teaching and learning. Wisconsin Model Academic Standards (WMAS) have been developed for all students at grades 4, 8, and 12. Statewide assessments at tested grades are aligned with the WMAS, and virtually all students are expected to progress to the proficient level in these standards as measured by these assessments. The information linked to this page will help you examine your academic standards at all grades from development through instruction and assessment.
