One way for students to demonstrate their progress toward meeting academic standards is through participation in assessments aligned with these standards. The Wisconsin Student Assessment System (WSAS) at grades 3, 4, 8, and 10 is aligned with Wisconsin's model academic standards in English language arts, mathematics, science, social studies. These standards determine the scope of the WSAS but are broader in content than any single WSAS test. No single test can tell us whether students have learned everything that is important for students to learn. More standards-based evidence of student learning is available at your school.
